This policy explains how subscriptions to the RestroIQ Service operated by RESTROIQ LTD work, how to cancel, and when refunds apply. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Subscriptions and renewal
Paid plans (Pro Monthly and Pro Annual) are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We process payments through Stripe.
2. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- from your account settings within the Service; or
- by emailing support@restroiq.uk from the address on your account.
Cancellation stops future renewals. There is nothing further you need to do.
3. What happens when you cancel
When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. After that date your account moves to the Free plan. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a billing period, except where required by law or as set out below.
4. Your statutory cancellation right (14-day cooling-off)
If you are a consumer in the UK, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Because RestroIQ is a digital service that you can use immediately, by subscribing and beginning to use the paid features you ask us to start the service during the 14-day period and acknowledge that you will lose this cancellation right once the service has been fully provided. Where you have started using the paid service but it has not been fully performed, you may still cancel within 14 days, and we may charge a proportionate amount for what you have used before cancelling.
This statutory right applies to consumers. It does not generally apply to businesses purchasing as part of their trade, although the cancellation options in section 2 are available to all customers.
5. Free plan
The Free plan involves no payment, so no refund applies. You can stop using it at any time.
6. Billing errors and exceptional refunds
If you have been charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a valid cancellation — contact us at support@restroiq.uk and we will investigate and put it right, including issuing a refund where appropriate. We may also consider refunds at our discretion in genuinely exceptional circumstances.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are made through Stripe to the original payment method. Refunds are typically processed within a few business days, though the time for funds to appear depends on your card issuer or bank.
